my journey
Janae graduated in 2015 from the University of California, Berkeley with two simultaneous degrees: Media Studies (B.A.) and Society & Environment (B.S.), where I developed an early interest in the power of storytelling and systems thinking. That dual lens—creative and strategic—has guided my approach to brand building ever since.
From 2016 to 2020, I started my career as Marketing Director at Lounge Group LLC in Newport Beach, California leading creative and digital strategy for 11 retail and hospitality brands. As Marketing Director, I managed branding, content production, and campaign development—producing high-impact visuals and messaging tailored for digital and in-person experiences.

In 2019 I launched my own consultant agency Creativison Marketing, I worked closely with small-to-mid-sized brands on creative positioning, content planning, and growth strategy. I developed tone-of-voice guidelines, designed modular content systems, and led creative across campaigns that spanned paid, organic, and influencer.

In 2020 I joined Creative Solutions, as Senior Manager of Growth & Creative Marketing, I partnered with camera and tech brands (Teradek, SmallHD, Wooden Camera) to define visual identity, product storytelling, and content strategy for launches and evergreen campaigns. I led cross-functional execution across creative, product, and eComm—ensuring design and messaging worked across paid, email, site, and SEO.

At Realtime Agency in 2022, I oversaw the Sonos Speakers account as Associate Director, I worked on global performance and creative strategy. I led campaign planning and B2B messaging across North America and LATAM, including social content strategy, landing page guidance, and lead gen creative for corporate gifting initiatives.

In 2023 as Performance Marketing Manager at TOMS Shoes, I lead creative strategy and brand campaign development within the DTC marketing team. I spearheaded the 2023 rebrand, directing messaging, concepting, and creative briefs across paid, lifecycle, and content channels. I also led the global "Wear Good" campaign from brief through execution—bridging creative, brand, and growth to deliver storytelling that was both premium and performance-focused.
